Working for higher standard of service, MG partners with dealers nationwide to organize annual “MG Skill Contest”

MG Sales (Thailand) Co, Ltd., the distributor of MG cars, is continuing its ambitious goal of service excellence, starting 2019 with “MG Skill Contest” in search of exceptionally skillful talents from more than 100 MG dealers nationwide. With the passion to delivering the best possible customer experience anywhere in the country, the annual skill competition is destined to unleash the potential and encourage continuous skill development of employees at MG who are responsible for after-sales service.

“Today, MG has more than 100 dealers in its nationwide network. Over the past years, we have been developing the potential of our staff and improving customer service abilities of dealers through various training programs as well as inspections and evaluations of the performance of MG dealers on a regular basis. This is to ensure operations of dealers are in line with requirements designed by MG and other globally recognized standards,” said Pongsak Lertrudeewattanawong, vice-president of MG Sales (Thailand) Co, Ltd. “Focusing on skill development in area of customer service, this year’s MG Skill Contest is part of activities that truly prove the uncovered potential and service availability of our dealers. Additionally, it can be used as a tool to evaluate their performance and a guideline for developing training programs for staff at different levels. It is expected to take professional abilities and industry expertise of our employees and dealers to a higher ground, and lead us to the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.”

There were two main categories of the skill contest: Service Advisors and Technicians. It was divided into two rounds including the selection round for a shortlist of 12 top-scoring contestants in each type of responsibilities, and the final round in which the shortlisted candidates competed for awards.

This year’s competition was held at MG Service and Training Center in Bangkok. Award-winning employees for 2019 MG Skill Contest in the Service Advisors category are as follows:

  • Grand Prize – Ms. จงรักษ์ แก้วสด from MG Luxury Had Yai Co., Ltd. (Lopburi Rames Branch)
  • 1st Runner-up – Ms. พัชราภรณ์ สุดพุ่ม from Best Auto Sales Co., Ltd. (Pattaya Branch)
  • 2nd Runner-up – Mr. ฐานันดร มัดจิตร์ from MG Luxury Nakhon Sri Thammarat Co., Ltd.

In the Technicians category, winners are:

  • Grand Prize – Mr. รณชัย หนองทะเล from V.G. Car Co., Ltd. (Krabi)
  • 1st Runner-up – Mr. อนุพงศ์ เพชรหนองชุม from MG Chaiyaphum Co., Ltd.
  • 2nd Runner-up – Mr. ชลอรุณ ยิ่งประสิทธิ์ from MG Luxury Nakhon Sri Thammarat Co., Ltd.

“It was the first time for this employee’s skill contest. However, it received an impressively positive feedback from dealers across the country sending their representatives to join in the competition. MG is committed to continuing this activity next years in order to maintain our service operation standards in all areas, and strengthen our comprehensive customer service portfolio, which will enable us to build high customer confidence and take MG customer experience to the next level,” said Pongsak.
